Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 12, 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
This Privacy Policy describes how Serpentime ("we", "us") processes personal data when you use the Serpentime website, when you apply for the beta program, and when you download and use the Serpentime iOS app.
We are based in Brazil. For privacy requests, contact us at hello@serpentime.app. Where a legal operator name is shown in the site footer, that name identifies the data controller together with this policy.
2. What we collect
Beta application: name (optional), email address, and any free-text you add about why you are interested.
Technical data: basic server and browser information typical of any website (for example IP address, user agent, timestamps) when you load pages or submit forms.
Analytics (only if you accept analytics cookies): session and usage data processed by Microsoft Clarity as described in our Cookie Policy.
App data (iOS): routine and schedule information you enter in the app (such as wake and sleep times, events, categories, and completion history), an optional profile avatar, and optional meal photos. This data is created by you, stored entirely on your device, and never transmitted to us or any third party.
iOS permissions: the app may request access to your photo library (only if you choose to add meal photos) and permission to send local notifications (only if you enable routine reminders). Both are optional and can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings.
3. Why we use your data
To review beta applications, communicate about access and onboarding, and improve the beta experience.
To operate and secure the website, troubleshoot issues, and understand aggregate product interest.
If you separately opt in to marketing emails, to send product updates and launch news. Beta access is not conditioned on marketing consent.
To provide core app functionality: routine data you enter is used solely to display your schedule, schedule local reminders on your device, and share a summary with the iOS home screen widget. All processing takes place on your device; we do not receive or access this data.
4. Legal bases (LGPD)
We rely on applicable legal bases under Brazil’s Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), including: your consent where required (for example optional analytics cookies and marketing email); pre-contractual steps and performance of a voluntary beta relationship where relevant; and our legitimate interests in operating a secure website and improving the product, balanced against your rights.
You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting prior lawful processing.
5. Processors and third parties
We use Supabase to store beta application submissions (database hosting). Supabase may process data on infrastructure in regions they designate.
If you accept analytics, Microsoft Clarity processes usage data under Microsoft’s policies.
We do not sell your personal data.
The iOS app does not use any third-party SDKs that collect personal data. The only third-party library included is Lottie (an open-source animation library), which does not collect or transmit any data.
6. International transfers
Providers may process data in Brazil and other countries. Where transfers occur, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by law and contractual protections offered by providers.
7. Retention
We keep beta application data for as long as needed to run the beta and follow up, unless you ask us to delete it earlier and we have no overriding legitimate need to retain it.
Analytics data is retained according to Microsoft’s retention rules when enabled.
App data (iOS): stored on your device and under your control. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. We do not have access to your app data and cannot recover or delete it on your behalf.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, anonymize, block, delete, port data, withdraw consent, and obtain information about processing and sharing.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) or another competent authority.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage for essential functions (such as language preference) and, only with consent, for analytics. See the Cookie Policy for categories and controls.
10. Children
Serpentime is not directed to children. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us at hello@serpentime.app and we will take appropriate steps.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will adjust the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, provide a more prominent notice.
